Choosing a radiant diamond
Brilliant inside, clean outside
The radiant was created to give a rectangular or square diamond the sparkle of a brilliant cut. Its trimmed corners make it more durable than a sharp-cornered princess.
How to choose one
Choose square (ratio near 1.0) or rectangular (about 1.2 and above). Its busy faceting hides small inclusions well, so you can often choose a moderate clarity grade.
Settings that suit it
Radiants look striking in a halo, a solitaire or a three-stone setting.
