Triple shank: three strands, one ring
A triple shank engagement ring is made of three strands of metal that run side by side and come together at the diamond. Some are braided, some twist, some stay apart and let light through between them.
Three strands give a ring presence on the hand and a wider band without heaviness. Choose plain metal, pavé on one or more strands, or two metal colors, around a round diamond or a marquise.
